QNX4 support life?

Several months ago, I saw a statement on the QNX website about the support
lifetime of QNX4. I can’t find that statement now. Does anyone know where
it is?

If I remember correctly, the company said that QNX4 would be supported
through (some date). At that time, they would review their decision.
Also, there would be a six-month (?) notice before support would cease.

Can anyone refresh my facts?

I would be interested in this information also.

What are peoples opinions with regards hardware availability to QNX 4, how
long will we be able to buy graphics cards that support QNXWindows, how
long will PCI machines be available (now that express is becoming more
common), network card support etc.

Currently we are using QNX4, Photon and SyBase SQL database. We have not
upgraded to QNX6 because there is not SyBase, nor other “widely accepted”
database tool in QNX6. If we are forced to abandon QNX4 we will also abandon
QNX world. So a good support for QNX4 is crucial for us.

Can anybody at QNX answer the original question about QNX4 support life?

Huh?

In what sense is MySQL not “widely accepted”? You can download pre-compiled
QNX6 binaries direct from their website.

What about Postgres? What about Birdstep (RDM)? What about Empress?
McObject? I’m sure I’ve missed some others too.

I can’t answer the questions about ongoing QNX4 support but I really don’t
think you can claim a lack of database tools for QNX6.

That’s what we did: we moved from SyBase SQL to Postgres.
