Why Ping stop transmiting packets to outside after 2 or 3 ho

Hi,

I use Ping in a QNX 4.24 host. But after 2 or 3 hours, I found that Ping
stop transmiting packets to outside.

I use “ctrl+c” end the Ping, then I begin a new Ping. After a long time , I
can get only one reply packet.So

I have to use “ctrl+c” end the Ping again, from the statistic on screen,
Ping transmit out only one packet.

But I still can telnet or ftp to this host from outside.

Can anyone tell me Why Ping stop transmiting packets to outside? And How can
I resolve this problem?

If the Sock[l]et is not v4.25D - upgrade to that patch level. Better yet -
to install TCP/IP v5.0 package.

Ok I’ll upgrade the system’TCP/IP, and then I’ll test again.
While the result comm out, I’ll tell you.
