PCMCIA Network Adapters

Hello,
We are currently using NE2000 compatible PCMCIA Network Adapters but it
has become pain staking difficult to source these adapters now. Has
anyone got any thoughts on a replacement card that is supported by QNX
4.25G, or a source that still produces NE2000 clones would be greatly
appreciated.

Len

Are they in stock somewhere? All resellers I know (in Slovakia) say it’s no
longer deliverable…

It appears that this model has been discontinued by 3com, but thank you
for the suggestion.

See the QNX4 supported hardware list. Search in both the network drivers
section and the PCMCIA devices catagories.
Note that 3CXFE575BT, 3CCFEM656B and 3C3FEM656C CardBus adapters as well as
the LP-E PCMCIA card from Socket Communications are also known to work with
release G.

3C3FEM656C - DISCONTINUED
LP-E PCMCIA - DISCONTINUED

Still in the process of searching for the other few remaining PCMCIA
NICS on the supported hardware list … my head hurts

Try eBay for D-Link DE-650 or DE-660. Accept only with a working media
coupler, typically I think there are both the RJ-45 and BNC in the same
adapter. I have used both and they are working correctly with the new
pccard driver. I made a test search in www.ebay.de, found 0 DE-650 but 3
DE-660 ranging from 1 to 25 EUR in starting price.

Juho,
Thank you for your help, we are looking to purchase around 50 adapters
to use within our product. It has been a long and hard search but I
think we now have a source for these 50 (fingers crossed). Searching for
hardware is getting a time consuming activity now.

Thanks,
Len.
