I have 5 files on a floppy. The names of these files are :
plasphere1.doc , plasphere2.doc, plasphere3.doc, plasphere4.doc,
plasphere5.doc.
I start Dosfsys without any options in the sysinit file.
Now files (plasphere 1-4) are translated as follows on my QNX4 computer.
plasph~1.doc , plasph~2.doc, plasph~3.doc , plasph~4.doc.
But for some reason plasphere5.doc gets translated as pl2b0a~1.doc.
Can someone tell me why?
I appreciate your input

I don’t know the answer to your question but you might want to consider
using Fatfsys instead of Dosfsys. IIRC, Fatfsys supports long names. I’m
not sure of this; haven’t been using QNX4 in a while.
