Any particluar brands that are generally good?

My Toshiba Satellite Pro works great with Evan Hillas’ improved VESA
driver. PCMCIA Wireless, built in ethernet, USB and sound all work fine.

The model number is S2410 it’s 1.8GHz P4, not sure if that’s a trade up
for you or not.

Cheers

Garry

I’m trying out the HP NC8000. Will have to see how much
of what works after migrating…

Anyone have info on Broadcom 570 support (10/100/1000 lan).
All I could find is developer info from a QNX PR,
and the 440 port by phearbear.

Hi,
I’m afraid I can’t help on the ethernet except to say that I use a
PCMCIA wireless card under QNX, so you could consider that if you can’t
get ethernet to work.

However, I’d be really interested in your results using the HP NC8000
sound? accelerated video? USB? I’m after a new laptop myself.

Thanks

Garry
