Hey Bill

Unless it was change in the final 6.3, you know have the option of using
Intel compiler instead of GCC. You must buy it separately but now you have
an alternative

Hey Mario

I don’t know if I’m the Bill you were mentioning that to, but I’m
certainly interested.

What are the alleged benefits?
Is it as efficient as the Watcom compiler?
Who do I purchase it from?
(I.E. Intel actually produce and QNX 6.3 executable?

Has anyone already used it?
What do you report?

or

Is there a URL where I can read all about this?

I’ve been searching the net. It seems that qssl is not selling the Intel
executable. And the only compilers that Intel make don’t run on Neutrino.

However, if you do development under Windows for a Neutrino target, it
would appear that you can use an Intel compiler.

So, close but no cigar for me.

If I’m wrong, someone please correct me.

You are correct, it will be for use under the Windows Momentics tools.

Unfortunately I do my development on a self hosted system. Who would I
have to kill to get it ported to native QNX?

The $400 price tag is reasonable enough. It may be worth it just to use to
produce a final production executable.

Does anyone know how OpenWatcom is comming for QNX6?
