Newsgroups archive

Are the newsgroups archived anywhere?

I’m looking for one of Robert Krten’s posts, but I cannot find it,
and I do ot remember date, newsgroup and subject, just author
and discussion topic. And that it was about QNX 6.

Google does not archive inn.qnx.com.

Sorry for dummy’s question and offtopic.

Thank you,
Roman

Set your newsreader’s “number of articles” to infinity (or at least in the
tens of thousands) and you should see all articles. “tin” has a -G option…

What post are you looking for??

QNX does not delete old posts (and thank you QNX!).

Many news readers delete references to old posts on your own system. Once
this happens, it is difficult to get them to show up again. What I used
to do was to delete the newsgroup completly from the news reader and then
re-add it. It will take a short forever to re-download everything,
depending on the size of the newsgroup.

But first, as Robert said, configure your news reader NOT to delete old
posts. Some expire old posts by number of messages saved and some by
date.
