The satellite imagery is pretty, but their map data has some of the
lakes on the Quebec side misnamed.
e.g. āLac Poisson Blancā is called āLac Oharaā. And, some lake that
isnāt āLac Ste. Marieā is called āLac Ste. Marieā, while āLac Ste. Marieā
doesnāt exist on their map data.
(My usual āstress testā for maps is how well does it deal with cottage
country up towards my parentsā cottage.)

Now that you mention it, has anyone found a really good map page for

But, you know, most of Canada is wildernessā¦

I guess what Iām looking for are those small towns that spring up in the
middle of nowhere.l
I chuckle when I look at some Yahpp maps. You can see 10,000s square miles
of Canada with a single pixel rendered on the screen.
Heh, like Mapquest they are using map data that is over 40 years out of date
for the area where I live. Better no maps than maps that are just plain
wrong.

The picture of Ottawa is from last summer. The are building a condo across
the street from my house and you can see the crane in the open lot, they
only tore the old building down summer 2004.
