I just finished trying to install the QNX Momentics v6.3 Product
Evaluation - x86 Host. I used all the default install values. It goes
through some of the initial startup. I’m leaving out some of the initial
stages but this is what I get:
Detected EIDE - Scanning for devices
unknown symbol: readdir64
unknown symbol: fopen64
could not resolve all symbols

Did you have an existing 6.2.1 partition? Did you boot the
6.2.1 partition, but select the 6.3.0 partition?
I saw the above when I installed a second partition, at boot time
selected the 6.2.1B partition for my boot image, then when it gave
me two partition to mount at /, selected the 6.3.0 partition. That
gave me the 6.2.1B libc.so, which didn’t contain the 64 bit file
I/O symbols that the 6.3.0 programs needed.

Thanks for the response, I came at the problem fresh the next day and it
happened to work just fine the next time I installed it. I had deleted a
6.2.1 partition prior to trying to install 6.3 but what I did notice was
that the boot loader still let me boot the deleted partition that
contained 6.2.1. Therefor it is probably the case that you explained.
I am a new user of QnX. I have a problem with the installation. Is it
possible to run the setup with the program files residing on the hard drive
instead of burning a CD with the image file?
