Hey, it seems nobody catches on. It’s simple: you received a license key for
example 10/10/2004. It is 10/10/2005 now and you need to re-install QNX 6.3.
Change the bios date to 10/10/2004 (within the 30 day trail period) and
enter the license key. QNX will install. Now change the date back to “today”
and QNX still will run, but certain applications will be disabled, unless
you aquired a license for those applications. And no, you can not run those
applications after the evaluation period, so don’t even ask. Quote: “The
evaluation software will give you the opportunity to explore the QNX
Neutrino RTOS, fully integrated IDE, BSPs, driver development kits,
libraries and tools and more - for a full 30 days.”
