the last international QNX Conference (QNX2000 in Vancouver) is 5 years
ago, what means discussing about separate RT-licenses incl. original CD
from QSSL took longer than 5 years! It started before “QNXRTP” was out,
when they changed their license policy to license certificates which
came with stickers and nothing else…
Anyway, we gave nearly up to believe in their promises about RT-CDs what
was shifted from one quarter to the other. So it’s unbelievable that the
RT-kit is really out, yet
BTW, the Canadian Embassy in Berlin has moved in new facilities and I
was invited to join their celebration of the Canada Day on July 1st, it
was much fun. - The Canadian Embassy offers among others to host
conferences, fairs or whatever from Canadian companies, so it would be a
great idea to let the QNX Conference rise from the dead …
As QSSL seems no longer interested in an American (so called
international) Conference I would appreciate when they would take the
offer of the Canadian Embassy in Germany for hosting an European QNX
Conference … it’s a great location and very central for Europe and
easy to reach by car, train and aeroplane … ok, let’s give them more
5 years for it ???
