Hi,
I have a QNX system at work setup. We have 3 servers and 8 nodes that
use ne2000 ISA cards with a boot rom to network boot from server A
etc. Is there a way I can use a windows XP machine to emulate this
connection? using VMware and installing QNX?
Or if not is there a way of running qnx with a hard drive but still
booting from the network.
Any help appreeciated.
thanks
Absolutely you can run a QNX node with a hard drive while still booting from
the network. I have set several of these up in the recent past. Basically
you need to start the Fsys & Fsys.eide driver in your sysinit. file on
your boot server. You can then create and mount a partition on this drive
to wherever you like.
