I’m using an Advantech PCM-9550 SBC which contains a Realteck RTL8139C chip
for the Ethernet.
I’m running QNX 4.25 and the Net.rtl drive is 4.25C dated Jan 19, 2001, and
the driver is started with the ‘-s 10’ option to set it at 10Mb. The
problem is occasionally some of the units on the network will quit
communicating at 10Mb, but will communicate at 100Mb. ‘netinfo -l’ also
reports the speed as being 100Mb when the problem occurs.
Yes, I’d like to just run at 100Mb, but we have some equipment that can only
talk at 10Mb and when they are connected to the PCM-9550 that is left to
auto-detect the network speed it will not communicate. My quick and dirty
solution was to force the 9550 to 10Mb, but here in the real
world…
Anyone have any clues?
TIA

Hello,
As far as I remember there were a fix for this problem. Patch G should contain
the fixed driver, version 4.25C dated Feb 22, 2001.
Regards,
Igor.

Thanks, I downloaded Patch G and it seems to have resolved the issue.
