keyboard language settings

Hello,

after installing QNX 6.2. a couple of months ago, I used the photon
application “Localization” (phlocale) to setup my timezone and keyboard
configuration for Germany. The keyboard was thus set to German and every
application (e.g. terminal) worked properly.
As I moved to another room, taking the computer with me, connecting it to an
other network, the keyboard settings were not as I configured them before.
And even though I use phlocale again to re-configure my keyboard, it does
not change to German anymore.

Does anybody know a possible reason for this situation? Can anybody help me
configuring my keyboard language settings as desired?

Regards.

Nnamdi

Just switch it to French, click Apply, then back to German, click Apply.

The cause of the issue is that the keyboard config is saved together with
the host name. When the host name changes, the keyboard config is lost.

This problem is known for ages, but isn’t fixed because it doesn’t affect
Canadians.)
