Hardware Compatibility

We have been using a not-too-well-known brand of computers for some time
now, with fairly good luck. We need a rack-mount box that can run without
air conditioning. Running Pentium 4’s in Texas without air conditioning is
no small thing.

Until now, the vendor has claimed compatibility with QNX. Their latest
products no longer make that claim, however. We can no longer order the
original motherboard, and the new available one is at the link below. Does
anybody know of problems that could occur with this board? I call it a
board, because the motherboard plugs into a special slot into a passive
backplane.

Thanks for any help,

Well, we ordered one and got one in. It will not install from the QNX boot

cd because of a crt_trap. The board specs say that it has an 82865 video
chip onboard. I have seen this on the hardware support screen, but I don’t
know how to change the boot cd.

There is an option to run without photon, but the boot process still blows
up. Do I need to know how to make a new boot cd, or is this board just
unusable?

Never mind, this board works. I did not know my tech was ghosting a disk
from a previous install. If I use the cd to install and get new drivers,
everything works.
