QNX 6.3 doesn't work on ASUS P5GD2 motherboard

I try to install QNX 6.3 on a PC with ASUS P5GD2 motherboard. Installation
CD (which works fine on other computers) displays about 10 the same messages

Unable to allocate resource: Invalid Argument

then

/dev/pci not found

and stops. QNX4.25 works in that PC, however.
Any ideas?

Have you set PnP OS to “no”? I’ve seen some machines with this error
message. I’m not sure what it means though, I believe it is a problem of QNX
communicating with the machine’s BIOS.

I’ve got asus k8n4-e deluxe and qnx hangs up on boot (from cd);

qnx6.3.0 (fron the installation CD) doesn’t boot on the intel915 chipset.
But qnx6.3.2 (SP1 + SP2 + core patch 6.3.2) works.
I’m not sure what chipset k8n4-e is based on, however.

QNX is currently working on a new SP3 install CD which boots on more new
machines.

What is SP3? I’ve never heard about it yet. Is it available anyway?

“currently working on” means not finished yet and don’t you think SP3 would be a good release number to follow SP2? I hate to be the one to kick you in the nuts but please try not to irritate when good information is forth coming, it tends to make the providers clam up.

One open request I make though, is that QSS please make it a free download again.

Evan

A better approach for you would be to ask if you could beta test SP3 on your system.
