Installing Momentics on Nuetrino

Hello,

I just received a laptop that has Neutrino already installed on it. I was
told to install the QNX Momentics Development Suite V6.3 on it. Everything I
read suggests I need to boot from the cd to install it. However, when I do
so it asks me if I would like to install the Neutrino RTOS. I do not want to
lose the existing configuration on the laptop.

How should I go about doing this? And how do I know if I need to update the
RTOS? (The Momentics CD I have is 6.3 but I have no idea what the Neutrino
version is.)

Thank you,
Eric Samsel

If you boot the laptop in to Neutrino and do a “uname -a” from the
command prompt that will give you an idea of which version of the OS is
installed on the laptop. What is the existing configuration on the
laptop that you don’t want to lose? Is there space on the laptop hard
drive to install 6.3 to?

It’s Neutrino 6.3.
