We are currently using the Aaeon AEC-6810 Embedded Controller with
CompactFlash as the bootable hard drive for a QNX 4.25 based application.
I’m starting an investigation into the possibility of using the embedded
(Realtek) network interface boot agent as a means of initially booting and
initially loading the CompactFlash. Does anyone have experience in this area
with QNX 4.25 based systems?
Hello,
It’s possible to boot QNX 4 over a network using AEC-6810 BIOS network boot
option in the following method:
BIOS network boot agen (PXE) → Etherboot (zpxe) → QNX 4 OS image (nbi)
As far as I remember, a network booting support is broken for some AEC-6810 BIOS
versions… We asked Aaeon to send us a fixed BIOS version. Now all things works
correctly.
Regards,
Igor.
