message_connect() and message_disconnect();

there is message_connect() function,
but why there is no sth like message_disconnect() ?

Here’s what the documentation for message_connect() says:

The message_connect() function creates a connection to the channel used
by dispatch handle dpp. This function calls the ConnectAttach() kernel
call. To detach the connection ID, you can call ConnectDetach().
