Two Questions about QNX - Installation and Port from VxWorks

Hello there,
is there a guideline how to set up a project, such that QNX is booting
from CD - and running stand alone (especially after the trial phase)
I’m not that fast in trial, since I do it in my spare time.

I’ve read a guide about porting VxWorks Code to QNX.
Is the described Software Package include in the standard Neutrino
Package. Which SW do I need addionally?
Can I have it for Evaluation purposes?

Thanx in Advance
Günter

Hi Günter,

if you are evaluating QNX Neutrino for a commercial project, you should talk
to a QNX rep and ask for extending the evaluation peroid. Not sure I
understand your question - the QNX Neutrino CD installation can run from CD
directly, and will do so even after the license has expired. However,
without a license you won’t be able to compile projects or build own boot
images.

The VxWorks porting library is not part of the standard QNX product. You
need to talk to QNX to possibly get the library (not sure if it can be
provided for free).

Cheers,

Malte
