Please help to understand this fact and increase the speed of open source

We find that the 424A version of Dev32.par has a bug in it, if you try to
send somethin to the /dev/par device for example a line printer, and the
line printer isnt ready the Device hangs, including the dev.par driver -
also things like sin ver stop working as Dev.par stops responding to all IPC
messages until the /dev/par device clears.
