Suggestion for a zip compatible library or code

Has anyone added creating a zip file to their software and could offer some
suggestions?

I’ve looked at Info-Zip and zlib briefly but I’m not sure which is better.

I would rather not make a system call to the zip utility in case the drive
is full or there is some other error that causes the utility to hang.

I’m running QNX 6.3.0 no service packs.

zlib is available in QNX6 I beleive. I use it to create gz file though not
sure if that’s compatible with .zip.
