Can you be more specific about what you want to achieve? It may be that
a 1.44Mb mounted filesystem image is sufficient.
Things like “virtual floppy disk drives” tend to be more necessary on
Windows because it tends to only like to mount devices as filesystems.

My mistake–this is not possible on QNX4.
What you could do, though, is create a RAM disk using the -r option to
Fsys (you’ll have to rebuild your boot image). You would have to
manually save the contents of the RAM disk before shutting down and then
restore the contents to the RAM disk on startup if you want it to act
like persistent storage.
