Poweredge 860 and LSI Serial Attached SCSI

Customer bought a poweredge 860 for app we have running under qnx4…I
dropped the ball, did not tell them to get an IDE based server…they
ended up getting box with 2 SATA drives and an LSI chipset based SAS
card to allow drive mirroring…before I rip out the SAS card and go
about the painfull process of getting SATA running, has anyone tried
using existing SCSI driver to access LSI SAS.

No go for us.

The SATA setup did have an ATA mode…am I wrong in assuming
the Fsys.ata driver would work ? I would try it and find out, but do
not want to start pulling SATA cables out and repositioning them on
this brand new , soon to be returned box !!! :frowning:
