Windows Services for Unix + Permission denied

Hello,

I am curious if anyone has run into a problem I am having. I have installed Windows Services for Unix version 3.5 on a Windows XP Pro version 2002 with service pack 2.

I can ceate an NFS shared folder with anonymous access, all machines, Read/Write and root access allowed. I can mount the folder from my QNX computer but I can not read any files or create any files. I get the following errors:

ls: readdir of ‘.’ failed (Operation not permitted)

sh: cannot create test.txt permission denied.

The strange thing is that I have a 2nd XP machine setup the same way, and I can mount NFS shares, read and write no problem from this QNX computer and a 2nd QNX computer to this XP computer. This is leading me to think it is something with this new XP but I don’t know what it is.

Thanks for any suggestions.

JK

If your underline windows drive uses NTFS, you need to make sure the NTFS permission is setup properly for the shared directory.
