Virtual PC and qnet

I’m running Virtual PC 2004 SP1 and QNX 6.3.0 SP2.

QNX loaded fine and found the appropriate apapters (sound, display, NIC, etc). Everything appears to be working fine with the network. I can browse the web, telnet to machines and I even have samba running.

I setup qnet and it starts on bootup, creating the /net directory. When I cd to /net and then do an ls, I get “host is down” for each node on our network. It knows what node numbers are out there so it must see them but it just says each is down and continually lists out the nodes until I control-c. I tried cd to a node that does not work.

I use the same setup procedures on regular PCs that have the same QNX version running as its sole OS. qnet works fine on those PCs, just not under VPC.

Has anyone had experience with this and knows what to do to fix this? Thanks.

Charles

I have Vmware 5.5 and install two qnx 6.2.1 NC machine as team. First name is qnx and second name is qnx_2. Command on “qnx” cd /net is alsow faild, but cd /net/qnx_2/home is OK!
