Let’s put forth the theory that my default BIOS is getting in the way, and would like a stripped down version that simply boots, lets say LinuxBIOS. Has anyone tried such a thing with QNX6?
Sure lots of people are doing it, QNX6 is designed to work without a bios. The facility at which it can be done depends on the hardware.
Why would your default BIOS get in the way? Are you trying to boot faster?
It’s spending too much time in the SMI, doing who knows what, and I can’t disable it. But with an open source bios I could at least find out what they are up to.
