Can I take the extream2 or gma9xx driver from 6.4 and use it with io-graphics on 6.3?
I want to use the newly supported graphic driver without upgrading to 6.4.
I very much doubt that.
The graphics subsystem fundamentally changed in 6.4. Basically now there’s the ‘Graphics Core’ which is comprised of what used to be the ‘Advanced’ Graphics TDK. Photon is a kind of client to that. Alternatively, Adobe Flash can be used, or OpenGLES. Or everything together, I have heard.
So go with 6.4, it’s got some nice advantages.
