Is there anyway to get Jakarta Tomcat (Servlet engine) working with J9? It would normally require a JDK installation. If not, is there any other JVM I can install to get it to work?

Never tried that, but Toby Kurien once mentioned that he got it working.
I have successfully run Apache Tomcat in QNX using the IBM J9 JVM. In conjunction with the Eclipse IDE, it is possible to develop and host J2EE apps in QNX. Here’s how I did it. Simply install J9, then get the rt.jar file from the standard jdk1.3.1 installation and stick it into a directory. Then, install Tomcat (or switch to directory of the Windows installation), and from the Tomcat bin directory, run this (substitute the path to the rt.jar file): /bin/j9 -cp:/usr/local/ivm/lib/rt.jar:./bootstrap.jar -Dcatalina.home=…/ org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap start And voila! J2EE on QNX
I might be wrong in that, I think you might have to have Eclipse installed as well for this to work (I already had Eclipse installed when I tried this). BTW, the “ivm” was a typo, it should be “ive”, but it doesn’t matter since you can stick the jar file anywhere.
