I can see the sata harddisk 160G in BIOS(SATA2,DVD is SATA1),when I try to install 6.3 on it by CD,input the key and accept the agreement is OK,and then it appears “choose disk()?” and not disk on the list,why?
Could it be as simple as compatibility? 
I remember that one of the 6 versions did not support any larger HD, check with QSSL or on the 6.3 specifications (I do not have them here, sorry).
Let me know as I run 6.3 as well. But only with 40 Gb HD

Probably because its the SATA controller isnt supported. Check in the bios for an IDE compatibility mode.
Try current version 6.4.1
