Not at all sure what you are asking here. What necessary software are you talking about?
Did you want to re-install? Do you have any non-standard software or data on the disk that you want to recover before re-initalizing?
In what way is image corrupted? Examples:
- Hard drive won’t boot, but partition can be mounted and data is intact.
- partition can be mounted, but there is no data
- partition can be mounted, some data but some missing
