I need to connect all the pcs in my home lan to the internet, but I only have one IP address available from my provider’s dhcp server. I have a qnx box available and was thinking if I could use it as a router for all the other computers. I am still new to qnx though, and I am not sure how to do this. Can anyone help me?
You need to setup ipfilter (which is on the third party CD). I gave up trying it to get it working (config file aren’t the easiest) and bought a gateway/router for very little money
It’s actually not that hard. Since ipfilter comes from the world of BSD there are a pile of great examples online.
Thanks, I will check ipfilter out. I am definitely not spending money on a hardware router.
