Shutdown doesn't reboot

Hi,

I need a software mechanism to shutdown my system and a tried the shutdown utility, but it kill all applications and daemons but neither switches off nor reboot the system.

My target is an x86 controller.

Has any one an idea?

Stock “shutdown” command can’t power off the ATX supply.
I tried numerous things to hook APM BIOS calls during shutdown
with no success.

So I whipped up a custom shutdown command which have
some expandability, and builtin APM power-off capability.
I believe the shutdown sequence resembles that of the stock shutdown.

Usage:
/usr/sbin/shutdownx -S poweroff
Build:
make
Make a package:
make package

Note: you can’t replace phshutdown, but it seems to work from Photon
without serious screws.

I tried it and it kill application and daemons but when it goes to rebbot it tells me an error, and doesn’t power off. I don’t have the AMP BIOS then I’m looking at yor code and contacting my manufacturer to try to adapt the code to my target.
