hello people
trying to install “QNX 6.1 for MS Windows” in a PC with Windows XP, I receive this error when creating the boot diskette:
QMakeDsk:
Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
can you tell me please what do I have to do ?

I really don’t know the answer to your question, but if you have the
choice of the version of QNX to use, I suggest you to download and
install the latest version (6.2.1) from http://www.qnx.com.
This last version (I don’t know for the previous ones) can be written
on a bootable cd, and there is a good chance that your BIOS accepts
bootable CDs if your computer runs Windows XP.
sounds like you got a bad floppy disk. Make sure you have a good 1.44M floppy disk, and try to format it to see no errors. Then use this pre-formated disk to create QNX boot.
raffaelo: some people still like to use 6.1 because the latest free version ( 6.21) is a stripped down one while the older 6.1 is a full version with all the goodies
